State Audit Institution Participates in the CAG’s International Conference on Strengthening of Grass-roots Democracy and Accountability in India

State Audit Institution participates in the CAG’s International Conference on Strengthening of Grass-roots Democracy and Accountability in India, held by Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, during the period (February 28 - March 1) 2024, in New Delhi, with the participation of SAIs’ representatives.

The conference agenda highlights a number of main topics, including: reviewing accountability frameworks of local governments around the globe, and audit interventions to improve the local governance frameworks and knowledge-sharing of auditing practices. the agenda also includes delivering presentations on experiences of SAIs in local government audit as well as holding a panel discussion on strengthening the role of SAIs in improving local governance.
